As the CEO of Planto Roe Financial Services, Inc., Charles E. “Gene” Roe provides leadership in regards to strategic planning and execution of the firm’s long term vision. Gene oversees the development of new advisors, provides guidance on client service, and ensures that the firm is utilizing the latest industry techniques.

As well as leadership duties within the firm, Gene continues to service and grow his relationships with his personal clients. He considers it a privilege to be allowed to assist in the achievements of their dreams and passions. In order to better serve his clients, Gene has earned several professional degrees and designations such as Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Accredited Estate Planner (AEP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF), Master of Science in Financial Services (MSFS), and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) .

A former professional golfer, Gene played PGA Tour events as well as others between 1981 and 1985. He remains an avid golfer and is an active member of the Sonterra Golf Club. Gene is an active supporter of his alma mater, Texas State University, an active member of Coker United Methodist Church, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Christian Leadership at Asbury Seminary. Gene and his wife, Tami, reside in San Antonio with their daughters, Catherine and Melanie.
