Richard A. Planto is the President and one of the two founders of Planto Roe Financial Services, Inc. As President, Richard is highly involved in every aspect of the business, particularly attracting and retaining new advisors, opening up new markets, and developing strategic alliances for the firm.

Richard’s experience in the financial services industry exceeds three decades. From 1979 to 1983, he helped build Businessmen’s Assurance Company of America as a Sales Manager and Agent, and eventually as the General Manager. As the youngest GM ever hired by the company at the time, Richard helped grow the practice by increasing firm efforts in recruiting, training, and improvements to productivity. Between 1987 and 1994, Richard worked for Connecticut Mutual, eventually as a Vice President at their corporate headquarters in Hartford. In 1994, Richard Planto and Gene Roe started Planto Roe Financial Services, Inc., a comprehensive financial services firm committed to helping clients attain long term financial success. Today Planto Roe is one of the largest firms that offers financial planning, advisory services, and financial products in San Antonio, with advisors in South Texas and Louisiana.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Richard is an alumnus of Trinity University. He is involved with several community organizations such as Any Baby Can, the Alamo Heights Rotary Club, The Jewish Community Center and others. He is currently serving on the Board of the San Antonio Jewish Federation. Richard and his wife, Sara, have two kids – Rebekah, who returned to San Antonio after graduating from NYU, and Sam, a graduate of the University of Indiana.
